Monday, November 10       Day 1 - Depart the US - Tonight we depart from Dallas to the Holy Land via Atlanta or NY. Dinner and breakfast is served in flight.

Tuesday, November 11      Day 2 - Tel Aviv - We arrive in Israel in the afternoon.  Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, you will be welcomed and assisted through customs and taken to meet your local tour guide and driver and transfer by private motorcoach to your hotel in Tel Aviv, on the shores of the Mediterranean for dinner and overnight.

Wednesday, November 12 Day 3 - Tel Aviv/Tiberias - We head north along the coastal road and drive through the plains of Sharon to historic Caesarea, Roman capital of Palestine.  View the magnificent Roman amphitheatre, remains of a Crusaders city, a Roman theatre and high-level stone aqueduct.  Next is Mt. Carmel, the traditional site of the contest between Elijah and the false priests of Baal.  Proceed to Megiddo to visit the excavations of this city, dating back 4000 years, considered the Armageddon of the New Testament, where the final battle will be fought.  Next we visit Zippori, where remains of an early settlement, mainly from Roman and Byzantine period were excavated.  We end the day in Tiberias, nestled on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.  Dinner & Overnight: Tiberias

Thursday, November 13    Day 4 - Tiberias - This morning we take a leisurely cruise on the sea of Galilee to Capernaum.  We visit the ruins of an old Crusader church built on the ruins of an ancient synagogue, presumed to be from the time that Jesus preached during the Apostolate years.  We continue by motorcoach to the Sanctuary of Peter Primacy and from here we drive to the site of the Sermon on the Mount, passing by the place many believe the miracle of the multiplication of fish and bread took place.  We end the day with a visit to a kibbutz, a communal living, unique to Israel.  Dinner & Overnight: Tiberias.

Friday, November 14   Day 5 - Tiberias/Jerusalem - Leaving Tiberias we will visit the excavations at Beit Shean, the most monumental Roman/Byzantine city in the area.  From here we proceed along the Jordan Valley, passing by Jericho and viewing the Mt. of Temptation from the distance.  Our next visit is to Qumran, to see the caves where some of the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.  From here we ascend to Jerusalem.  Before entering the city, we will pause for a brief overview of the Old City from Mount of Olives.  Proceed to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Saturday, November 15     Day 6 - Jerusalem - Today we enter by foot the ancient walled Old City of Jerusalem, visiting the Jewish Quarter with its reconstructed Byzantine Cardo and the Herodian Mansions.  Visit the Western Wall and the Temple Mount where the Dome of Rock was built.  Walk along the Via Dolorosa to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.  Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity.  Return to Jerusalem via the Haas Promenade for a view of the City of David from its southern side.  Dinner & Overnight: Jerusalem

Sunday, November 16 Day 7 - Jerusalem - Full day tour of the New City of Jerusalem.  Driving via the Knesset (Israel’s parliament) to the Israel Museum which comprised of art and archeology to visit the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed and here is also the Model of Jerusalem from the time of the Second Temple.  We close our day with a visit to the Calvary and the Garden Tomb, a peaceful spot where we can remember Christ’s crucifixion, burial and resurrection.     Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Monday, November 17       Day 8 - Jerusalem - Full day excursion.  Drive through the mountains of Judea to Masada, the incredible rock fortress of King Herod.  Ride he cable car to the summit.  View the massive palaces and water systems and you will fully sense the emotions of the Jewish zealots who chose to fight the Roman legions to the last man.  Descend, and tour the shores of the Dead Sea enroute to Jerusalem.  Dinner & Overnight: Jerusalem

Tuesday, November 18      Day 9 - Jerusalem - Following a morning of leisure, we checkout of our hotel and go to Mt. Zion to visit the tomb of King David, the Church of Dormition and pray in the Upper Room.  We then leave Jerusalem and proceed to Abu Gosh, of the traditional sites of Emmaus where Jesus appeared on the road on the First Easter Sunday.  In the evening you will be taken to the old port city of Jaffa to dine at a Yemenite restaurant with several delightful specialties.  Later, we are transferred directly to Ben Gurion Airport, in time for your check-in formalities.  We board our overnight flight back to Atlanta.

Wednesday, November 20 Day 10 – US - Arrive in the US early in the morning and transfer to our domestic flight home, with memories for a lifetime.

TOTAL TOUR PRICE:  International flight reservations have been requested on Delta Airline "and are subject to space availability.Please note that the carrier and flights are always subject to change. The tour price is based on airfare, cruise, land rates and rates of exchange in effect 6/1/07. All rates are subject to change without prior notice. Should the rates go up or down, an adjustment would be made prior to departure.   No refunds can be granted for any accommodations, services or events that are not used or if you deviate from the tour. If fewer than 20 pilgrims participate a price adjustment may be necessary.

PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS: A valid passport is required.passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months after return date  At the time of printing, U.S. citizens holding valid passports DO NOT REQUIRE visas or immunization for the country or countries being visited.

Citizens of countries other than U.S. - please contact the consulate of the country or countries being visited to determine visa requirements.

No stopovers are permitted. Any changes after ticket is issued, carries a mandatory charge of $200. Once the tickets are issued, they are NON REFUNDABLE. Additional non-recoverable airline penalties of up to $200 may be assessed for cancellations received within 90 days of departure

DOMESTIC AIRFARE: For those who make domestic air arrangements to the originating city of this tour, your tour host and Unitours strongly recommend the purchase of tickets that can be changed without heavy fees and penalties as international flight schedules are always subject to change.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:  Specially selected hotels based on twin occupancy with private bath. Single Room supplement of $346 will be charged where requested and available. If you do not have a roommate and Unitours is unable to arrange one, you will be billed for the single room supplement. All singles are subject to availability.

MEALS: Breakfast and Table D' Hote dinners are provided daily except where noted in the itinerary.  An extra charge will be made when coffee, tea or other beverages are not included in the menu of the day with the dinner meal.

TIPS AND TAXES: Tips and taxes normally appearing on hotel and restaurant bills as service are included, as are all government and local taxes on hotels and meals, porterage of one suitcase per person. Departure taxes of $82 PLUS CURRENT FUEL SURCHARGE OF $142 PER PERSON ARE NOT INCLUDED. TIPS TO TOUR MANAGER/GUIDE, BUS DRIVER AND DINING ROOM STAFF OF $61 ARE NOT INCLUDED. One average sized suitcase not exceeding 50 lbs total weight and 62 linear inches (height plus width plus depth) is allowed throughout the trip

NOT INCLUDED:  Expenses and items not specifically mentioned in this brochure are NOT covered, including but not limited to: passport and visa fees, meals not listed and items of a personal nature such as laundry, wines, liquors, mineral waters, after dinner coffee or tea, sightseeing or services other than those specifically mentioned, tips and taxes mentioned above, excess baggage and insurance, etc.

DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATIONS: A deposit of $300 is required to secure reservations.  Any balance is to be paid in full no later than 60 days before departure of tour. Final payments received at Unitours after 45 days before departure must include a $25 late payment fee. (This does not apply for new reservations made after 45 days of departure.) Reservations made within 60 days of departure must include full payment. Amex, Visa and Mastercard are accepted with signed reservation form. Final payments will be applied to same credit card on final payment due date. Cancellations made from time of reservation to within 61 days prior to departure - - $100 processing charge plus any air penalties noted above. In the event of a cancellation from 60 to 8 days of departure - - $150 processing charge plus up to 50% of the land cost, plus any air penalties noted above. There can be no refund for any services for cancellations received within 7 days of departure. All cancellation and refund claims must be in writing to Unitours, Inc.

CHANGE FEE: All changes not received in writing at least 30 days prior to departure will incur a $35 change fee per person for each revision.

DEVIATIONS: A service charge of $50 pp will be applied for any deviations made in tour, (where possible), PLUS any additional air or land charges incurred.

LAND ARRANGEMENTS: The tour operator reserves the right to change the itinerary due to unforeseen emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Unitours, Inc., the organizer, and their representatives act only as agents for the tour members in making arrangements for hotels, transportation, sightseeing, restaurants or any other services in connection with the itinerary. They will exercise reasonable care in making such arrangements, however, they do not assume any liability whatsoever, for any injury, damage, loss, accident or delay to person or property because of any acts of war or terrorism, any act of default of any hotel, carrier, restaurant, company or person rendering any of the services included in the tours. The tickets, coupons, tariffs, rules or contracts currently in use by any carrier, hotel, restaurant or other contractor rendering services shall constitute the sole contract between such contractor and the tour member. Unitours Inc., or the organizer, accept no responsibility for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, government restraints, weather or any other cause beyond their personal control. No carrier shall be responsible for any act, omission or events during the time passengers are not on board its own conveyance. The right is reserved to cancel or change itineraries, or substitute services without notice and to decline to accept or retain any passenger at any time. In view of statutory or contractual limitations that may apply to personal injury or property damage losses the purchase of accident and baggage insurance is strongly recommended. Optional travel insurance offered by Unitours must be paid with your final payment.
